Beach Bars In Torrevieja
There is something about the beach bars in Torrevieja that make you want to forget all the plans you had for the day, kick back, and just enjoy the chilled out and happy vibe. One thing I do appreciate, and many of us forget, is how hard the staff in these bars have to work so that we can have a great day on the beach. These guys and girls spend the whole day in the summer heat, getting bombarded with orders in a multitude of languages, and still manage to get the drinks out super quick, always with a ready smile and joke. Some of you may contradict me on that, but everyone has a hard day sometimes, especially bar staff and if you didn’t get a smile, I’m sure you will get one next time 🙂
The city’s promenade bars are just a few steps off the beach, and are always lively on summer evenings. Popular with the younger crowd, and handy with a Burger King next door, Keeper Bar will always get your evening off to great start, and don’t forget to say hi to friends and family back home from their live web-cam that looks out to the terrace. Another nice place along the promenade, that tries for the beach feel with their little thatched bar is El Faro. This is a great place to watch the crowds go by and enjoy a few tapas from as little as 1.50€. Enjoying a beautiful setting in Torrevieja’s marina is the fabulous Niki Lounge. Treat yourself to an elegant night out, including a swimming pool with podium dancers and Arabian tents to chill out in !!
Along Los Locos beach there is a further selection of bars just off the beach, most offering extensive menus and outdoor terraces. Some beach bars in Torrevieja only set up during the summer months and you will find one called Kiosco Gloria on Los Locos beach. You can also party the day and night away in one of 5 bars that are all part of the colourful Tropic 222 Music Bar. If you continue past Los Locos beach there are a further 2 bars that set up in the summer on La Mata’s popular Vela Beach.
Heading in the other direction, towards Orihuela Costa, El Rincón del Tío Cali makes for an enjoyable evening of wining & dining on the beach. Located on the beach road near the salt conveyor and behind Dialprix Supermarket, El Rincón is the place to watch the sun go down from their large terrace, or visit during the afternoon on weekends for great live bands and BBQ. Further along is the first residential and beach area of Orihuela Costa, called Punta Prima where you can enjoy views over the Med from the raised terraces of the long established Nautilus Restaurant. Here is where you will also find 2 of the ever popular Sunrise Beach Bars that are a chain of 8 bars in the area that offer pints of Spain’s favourite beer, Estrella Damm for just 1.50€, and at over 5% alcohol, you should bring a life jacket !!
From Punta Prima beach there is a lovely coastal path that winds its way along the entire Orihuela Costa coastline, allowing walkers to stop for a swim and refreshments at a number of beaches. Located on the beaches of Playa Flamenca are another 2 very lively beach bars where the friendly staff keep the drinks flowing and come up with some mind blowing cocktails. Their snack menu includes sandwiches, burgers and great pizzas, as well as ice creams. They have comfortable seating areas, and being right on the beach, are close to all the sun loungers and parasols. Further along the coastal path there is another bar situated on Cabo Roig beach.
