Torrevieja Nightlife

With no work to worry about the next day, a major part of any holiday is making sure there is great nightlife to be enjoyed during your stay. Well, you can throw away the guide books and tourist information leaflets, and just add Torrevieja Nightlife into your phone favourites. We have gone to great lengths with this new website to gather no holds barred, on the ground information on what’s hot in the city. Yes, there are websites and local newspapers out there that will give you little snippets of random information about night time activities here, but none come close to Torrevieja Nightlife when it comes to in depth articles that cover the whole spectrum of fantastic things to do when the sun sets in this vibrant city.

A vast amount of holidaymakers coming to Torrevieja are families, and it is easy to see why as there is just so much for the young ones to do. After scorching days of fun in the sun on one of the city’s lovely sandy beaches, you can enjoy an evening stroll through a selection of pretty parks. Along the lively beachfront promenade you can sit down to a meal or try a tasty homemade ice cream whilst you walk. Spaniards have strong family values, and you will find the majority of bars in Torrevieja welcome kids with open arms and will make sure the little ones have fun while you indulge in a few cold drinks or cocktails. Ozone Leisure Centre makes for an exciting evening of family fun with multi screen cinemas, 10 pin bowling and much more. A huge variety of sports can be found at the incredible Sports City that stays open late and has both indoor and outdoor facilities.

A must do family evening that is truly unforgettable, is a visit to the picturesque Villa Salada. Here you can relax in tropical gardens and experience wonderful flamenco and equestrian shows accompanied by music and fine dining. Kids just love camping, and with Torrevieja’s miles of coastline and peaceful countryside, there are plenty of spots to pitch your tent and enjoy a night under the stars. Don’t like roughing it ? Just a few minutes drive from the city there is a huge camping resort where you can ”Glamp” it up in fully equipped bungalows.

The choice of bars and restaurants in the city and it’s neighbouring areas is outstanding, and be it food or drink, all tastes are catered for. A free tapas can be had in many of the traditional tapas bars when you order a drink, or you can choose one that offers a great value tapas & drink combo. For the ultimate tapa experience, you can’t beat Torrevieja’s Tapas Tour. If you fancy a full English breakfast, there are a number of British bars and restaurants to choose from, but with the huge popularity of this dish even the Spanish establishments serve full English!! A good old pint of Guinness and a bit of ”Craic” can be found in the city’s Irish bars and, although there are some excellent Italian restaurants, if you just fancy a pizza you will find them on practically every restaurant menu.

You are never far from a Chinese restaurant when enjoying Torrevieja nightlife, and if you like it spicy there are a selection of Thai and Indian restaurants serving all the usual favourites. A popular dining choice when on a beach holiday is seafood and, as with pizza, you will find seafood on most menus, although the city has some fantastic restaurants dedicated to delicious fish dishes and extravagant seafood platters that will have you groaning with pleasure. Let’s not forget, we’re in Spain, and aside from the usual paella or tapas that is about the only Spanish dish most holidaymakers try, there are so many other delicious regional dishes to sample. All the usual favourite fast food and takeaways can be found in the city, as well as a number of 24hr mini marts where you can get an assortment of pre-packed food and drinks.

Beach bars range from tiny thatched huts right on the sand, to large establishments with a choice of bars, loads of terrace seating and attached restaurants. The smaller ones tend to close in the early evening when beach goers pack up, but the larger ones are usually near the beach residential areas and pull in the crowds until quite late. Many of the bars in Torrevieja, especially in the predominantly British and Irish area of Orihuela Costa, offer entertainment of some sort such as darts, pool, quizzes, bingo and karaoke. For more of a lively atmosphere, and a less expensive alternative to a nightclub, are music bars. Here you will find top Dj’s, great theme and party nights, stand up comedy and live bands, where you can really enjoy Torrevieja nightlife and dance the night away until the early hours. Most of these establishments have restaurants with varied menus so you can also enjoy a meal or snack.

Unique to Spain are gaming bars, that are like mini casinos with electronic gaming tables and sports betting terminals where you can also have a few drinks, and in some cases, free snacks. For the more serious gamblers there is only one proper casino in the area, located in the Zenia Boulevard and offering roulette tables, blackjack, poker and a variety of fruit machines. Most visitors to the huge Zenia Boulevard are there for the excellent shopping and nightly entertainment, although during the day there is all sorts of fun stuff for the young ones to do. On the outskirts of Torrevieja further late night shopping and restaurants can be found in the Habaneras Shopping centre that is ideally located just across from Ozone Leisure. Much of Torrevieja nightlife is centred around the main city beach, Playa del Cura where you will find the beach front area lined with shops, bars and restaurants. There is also the colourful Night Market and a quaint little fun fair with old fashioned favourites like the Ferris wheel, carousels and dodgem cars.

Next to Playa del Cura is Torrevieja’s marina, where you can boogie to the latest tunes in the city’s most glamorous and entertaining venue, Niki Lounge. If 2015’s line up of summer parties is anything to go by, then visitors are in for a special treat this year, but bring your swimming costume because this place even has a pool. For those who like to party until the sun comes up, most of Torrevieja nightlife is located in one area. The Polígono Industrial Estate is situated on the edge of the city, and due to it’s lack of residential properties, is the ideal place to pump up the volume and is home to the majority of Torrevieja’s nightclubs. Most only open after 22.00 and keep the party going to past 07.00. The two most popular venues are Oz Discoteca and Love Discoteca, but there is great variety in the clubs here so you won’t just find the same music and clientele, making for a great choice of entertainment no matter what your age.

Out with a bunch of lads, looking for somewhere to spice up the stag or hen party, or on your own and just fancy a bit of raunchy fun ? Torrevieja nightlife has it all in the form of the city’s excellent adult clubs. Forget the sleazy Amsterdam red light districts or Soho’s walk up brothels, the adult clubs in Spain are the real deal, where you can dine on lobster and drink the finest champagne, or enjoy a cooling swim whilst watching an erotic show. Admittedly, you need to travel a bit further afield to find establishments like this, such as the luxurious D’Angelo Palace and fantastically fun Club Pipo’s. Not as grand but just as fun are the closer clubs like New Skala, Showgirls Club, Pussy Cat 2 and Casino Club. All of these offer great music and lighting systems, large bar areas, comfortable seating and of course, carnal delights.
