The city of Torrevieja enjoys a vibrant night life, with many of its bars staying open well after midnight. Once these close, those still in the party spirit can head to one of the city’s nightclubs that tend to stay open until 6 or 7am. For visitors looking for a bit of adult fun, there are a choice of strip and go-go clubs although some of these are small venues with not much more than a bar, seating areas and a stage or podiums. The lighting tends to be rather dark and drink prices high, but wherever you go in this world, you’re going to pay to walk on the wild side !!
A bit further afield there are huge establishments such as D’Angelo Palace in Alicante and Club Pipo’s in Orihuela where visitors can indulge their every fantasy. Situated on the outskirts of Alicante City, from the outside D’Angelo Palace looks more like a Baronial mansion than a club. Established in the early 1980’s the club has been constantly renovated and upgraded over the years, with no expense spared and the improvements are instantly noticeable. Set in beautiful gardens, the club’s entrance is flanked by two large palm trees leading to an impressive staircase, complete with stone pillars. There is a smart reception area where visitors collect a card that needs to be stamped for every transaction. This makes life a lot easier for all the staff, especially during party or show nights when the club gets busy. Aside from the drink prices, the card has a price list for all the club’s other ‘services’.
Once through reception there is a large, well stocked bar, seating areas and a number of very good looking women. The splendid decor is in keeping with a palace, boasting ornate wood panelling, antique mirrors, statues and pillars. The main bar is tastefully spotlighted and welcoming, and as you continue further into the club the opulence continues with a comfortable lounge and intimate seating. Probably the most eye catching area in D’Angelo Palace is the inner courtyard. A heated central swimming pool, complete with podiums and poles, is surrounded by the Restarante Marisquería’s seating area that boasts marble flooring and grand arches. The restaurant specialises in seafood, although there is a full a la carte menu as well as the choice of custom menus, ideal for functions and special occasions. To top it off, there is a raised platform graced by a glass grand piano that looks fantastic when the lighting is dimmed and the piano lit up.
The courtyard is overlooked by a mezzanine level that has another welcoming bar and seating area. The third bar in the club enjoys a more Mediterranean feel and leads to an outdoor terrace boasting tropical plants and palm trees, perfect for relaxing on warm summer evenings. The club offers 2 private VIP lounges complete with stages, subdued lighting, sound systems and comfortable chairs and sofas. A selection of double rooms are available, as well as a choice of grand suites complete with king size beds, jacuzzi, TV, music and room service.
D’Angelo Palace staff are highly trained, attentive and discreet, and the range of services available are designed to cater to your every need. Private functions for most occasions can be booked including dinner parties, business functions, farewell parties, unforgettable stag nights and naughty hen nights. Custom menus for couples or groups can be enjoyed, accompanied by a wonderful selection of fine wines and classical piano music. The club’s motto is to provide a truly unforgettable experience, and they will endeavour to personalise an evening of your choosing, right down to the finest detail.
